About Deepa Danan

Hello, my name is Dr. Deepa Danan and I am an otolaryngologist at University of Florida Health Ear, Nose & Throat – Shands Hospital. I received my medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, and completed my residency in otolaryngology from the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Virginia. I then pursued a fellowship in head and neck oncology an in micro-vascular reconstructive surgery at the Miller School of Medicine in Miami.

I am involved in research to improve survival outcomes after micro-vascular free tissue, and has researched outcome optimization in head and neck surgery, as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery. I have also published numerous journal articles and authored book chapters.
