Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2026! We are wishing the entire ENT team a very happy New Year! Thank you for your dedication, expertise, and teamwork—you make a real difference every day. May the year ahead be filled with good health, shared successes, and plenty of moments to celebrate together. Here’s to a bright, rewarding year ahead!
Hot off the Press!
Let’s congratulate the following for their recent publications: Justice, Avraham, Gallo, Prosser, Chapurin, Chheda, Johnson, and Balaguru. Between these 3 publications, members of our team explored everything from the contact pressures as a result from intubation, determining best surveillance strategies post-sinonasal malignancy treatment, and the role of sclerotherapy oral vascular malformations in HHT. Please see the attached links to read the full articles and congratulate our providers when you see them.

ENT Across the Map

Although each of our Chiefs will be greatly missed, we are excited to announce where the next chapter of the journeys are taking them. Chief Janyn Quiz will be heading to Raleigh Capital Ear, Nose, and Throat in Raleigh, North Carolina. Following suit, Chief Alexander Johnson is also going up north to Mountain Ear, Nose, and Throat in Asheville, North Carolina, while Chief Mason Johnson will be close by in Tampa, Florida, joining fellow alums Jacob Poynter and Adrian Chow.

Speaking of Alumni…
Many of our current residents have had the wonderful opportunity to connect with UF Health ENT alums these past few months. Back in November, Janyn Quiz and alumnus Christina Palomo and Linda Chow were able to find time in their busy schedules to unite.

Just a few weeks ago, Quiz and Palomo reunited again (pictured below). Most recently, Jacob Poynter came back to visit with our Chiefs just this past weekend, as they have remained great friends since Poynter’s graduation in 2024. The group even got to have some fun golfing with Dr. Brown and Dr. Conrad too. As always, it is great to see the lasting connections built within, and maintained outside, the department.
